In Progress – Boo Swoon Sixteen Quilt
I’ve finally finished up all sixteen of my Swoon blocks. Now I need to decide on how to set them and what sashing to use. I’ll probably end up using the same Essex linen that I used for the background. 🙂

I’ve had The Quilt Block Cookbook for several months, but hadn’t gotten around to doing anything with it. Back in December, I saw that Amy over at Stitchery Dickory Dock was getting ready to host a Cookbook Quilt Along, so I decided to join in. I’d been hoarding two fat quarter bundles of Blueberry Park… Continue reading In Progress – Quilt Block Cookbook QAL
I saw this Hometown USA Quilt and decided I wanted to make something similar. I already had the Summerville kit for the center portion and the Stars & Stripes pattern for the outer border. I’m going to add a plain border instead of the pinwheel blocks around the Summerville portion and then the outer border… Continue reading In Progress – Home Sweet Home Quilt
I’ve been flipping back and forth between three projects for the past week or so. mel_is_a_swapaholic on Instagram is hosting #SwoonQAL2017 and I’m participating. I’m using the Swoon Sixteen pattern and the Boo! line from Cotton + Steel with Flax Essex linen as the background. I’m very proud of myself because I pulled all the… Continue reading In Progress – Boo Swoon Sixteen Quilt
The 2016 Finish-A-Long helped spur me to complete 18 projects, so I’m going to continue with it this year! Here are my proposed finishes for Q1 of 2017: 1. Bonnie & Camille Log Cabin Block Swap Again – I’ve completed and mailed my blocks, so I should be receiving my return shipment in mid-February. I’m… Continue reading In Progress – 2017 Finish-A-Long – Q1 Proposed Finishes
I’m so glad to have this one finished up and off to the customer! I think it came out really cute! I’ve blurred out the embroidered part with the baby’s name and birth date. I’ve been having trouble getting the green to show up as the correct color on screen, but I think this is… Continue reading FINISHED!! – Dapper Baby Quilt
I have had so much fun making this quilt! I got to try out some new techniques – foundation paper piecing and curved piecing. I wasn’t sure about my color choices, but I think it turned out really nice. If there’s a Summer Sampler 2017, I’m definitely in! 🙂 Number of pieces in this quilt:… Continue reading FINISHED!! – Summer Sampler 2016 Quilt
Finally, finally, FINALLY! I’ve finished my first “designed by me” quilt! I just love this quilt. The Grand Canal line by Kate Spain was perfect for it. The weather has been bad, so I took these right at sunrise before it started raining again. Here’s a picture of the backing that took me forever to… Continue reading FINISHED!! – Hugs & Kisses on the Grand Canal Quilt
Hooray! I got this one back from the quilter on Wednesday and immediately put the binding on it. I just love how it came out. Gingham background FTW! 😀 Too bad I messed around so long in getting it to the quilter because I’ve already hung up my Ugly Christmas Sweaters Quilt for the holidays.… Continue reading FINISHED!! – Pumpkins Quilt
I finished up the November blocks for my Meadow Mystery Quilt today. I’m just loving these fabrics so much! I had serious thoughts of replacing the yellow with something else, but I couldn’t ever find another fabric that I liked as much, so the yellow stayed. I’m glad it did! 🙂 And speaking of things… Continue reading In Progress – Meadow Mystery Quilt – November
