This is the one year anniversary of the Farm Girl Vintage book by Lori Holt of Bee in My Bonnet. I love this book so much! I finished my Farm Girl Vintage quilt back in October of 2015 and I’ve been looking for a reason to do a few more blocks. Do I really need a reason though? 🙂
Today, Lori posted a birthday cake block to her blog to celebrate the anniversary. It’s so cute!

A new Farm Girl mini-quilt pattern was also released at Fat Quarter Shop. I just love this one! I’m going to have to fit it into my sewing schedule somewhere soon!

I’m hoping for a Farm Boy pattern too or I may try to revise the girl pattern to make one for myself. <3 <3 <3
This is so sweet! Love that birthday cake block. 😍
Isn’t it adorable? I need to find some time to make one. 🙂
So wonderful Laurel. You are a quilting machine!
Thanks, Amanda! 🙂
What a wonderful quilt…no wonder you fell in love! That birthday cake block is so cute, and so is the farm girl mini. It shouldn’t be too hard to make a little farm boy too, but I bet if you wait they’ll come out with one. They’d make the perfect pair of minis.
Thanks, Jennifer! I’m hoping to have to time to start on the Farm Girl this week. 🙂
Oh I love that quilt – I hadn’t seen it before. I got the book for Christmas and vowed to do one block a week. It’s now June and I have 4 blocks … ahem!! Although I have dusted it off just the other day and did print out the cutting instructions for the cake aswell!
I happened to get the Farm Girl Vintage book right at a time that I had nothing else going on, so I got all 40-something blocks made in about three months. I amazed myself! 😀
