Finished!!

Bloggers Quilt Festival – Farm Girl Vintage Quilt

I finished this quilt just about a year ago now! I can’t believe it’s been that long! This is one of my all-time favorite quilts. It was so fun to make and I learned so much while making it. I’m entering it in the “Large Quilts” category for the Bloggers Quilt Festival and it definitely fits at about 360″ around. πŸ™‚

Despite a seriously hateful comment I received a little while ago, I’m going to leave this post up. Not every quilt is to my taste either, but I scroll on by. There’s no need for rudeness in the quilting world or any world as far as I’m concerned. πŸ™‚

  1. I have had the farm girl vintage book now for a year and I haven’t sewn a stitch towards this project. Thank you for the motivation. It turned out beautiful. The 9 patches in the sashing, I don’t recall that being in the book and it is a nice touch!

  2. I can’t imagine anyone having a hateful thought about this quilt (or any quilt for that matter). I’m so glad you left this post for the rest of us to see!! I love your work and get inspired by it all the time. Keep doing what you do and ignore the haters!

  3. It’s a very fun quilt. I’ve got the book, but haven’t made a single block yet. Congrats on sticking with it to finish a beautiful sampler. I agree there is no need for rudeness at all, so sorry you had such a bad comment.

  4. I have seen so many blocks for this quilt posted on IG but I don’t think I have ever seen a completed Farm Girl quilt. It is adorable. I love all things vintage and this has such a nice flavor to it. The blocks are sweet and the 9 patch corner stones a great touch.

Sorry to hear someone was rude. Why do people think that is ever appropriate. It is so sad –

  5. This is such a beautiful quilt! I love the bright fabrics you used. Makes for a very happy, sunny quilt! I too have this book and have yet to sew a block from it, but this is inspiring. I will have to dig it out and start picking fabrics!

  6. Love this quilt! You’ve got my vote for the bloggers’ quilt festival. It’s just so beautiful, and it must have taken so long to complete. Gorgeous!
