This is my first ever appliqu\u00e9 project and I think it’s going pretty well. The pattern is a free download<\/a> from Lori Holt & Riley Blake Designs. I thought about using my own fabric choices, but then I decided the Cozy Christmas fabric in the official kit was too cute to pass up. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

I did the first three blocks quite a while ago and I’ve had all the rest of the appliqu\u00e9 pieces sewed and turned for quite a while, but I needed to be in the right mood to appliqu\u00e9 them to the background pieces because of all the thread color changes. I finally got in the mood today! <\/p>\n

Here are all twelve of my blocks post-appliqu\u00e9:

A few of them have some additional embroidery work that needs to be done, but other than that, I just need to piece the block borders and then assemble the top and send it to the quilter.
